City Manager

The City Manager is the Chief Executive Officer of the city. The City Manager:

  • implements and carries out the vision, goals and policy of City Council
  • supports elected officials in their role by providing timely communication
  • oversees daily operations of the city
  • prepares and presents budgets to City Council
  • hires, supervises and terminates staff
  • publishes a weekly newsletter to city officials and residents
  • publishes an annual review of city operations.

Sidney voters adopted the Council-Manager form of government on November 2, 1954.
