NOXIOUS WEEDS | UNMANAGED VEGETATION

The City of Sidney hereby notifies all residents of Ordinance Section 553.01 Weeds. Between March 1 and December 31 of each year, no person or entity which is the owner of record of any parcel, lot or land within the City corporation limits shall permit any grass over eight inches, noxious weeds, or untended, rank, and unmanaged growth of vegetation. If the violation is not corrected by the owner within 7 days the City’s contractor shall correct the violations. The fee for the City’s contractor correcting the violations is the contractor’s hourly rate + $75 (1st time), $150 (2nd time), $250 (3+ time). The entire Chapter 553 can be viewed online. AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING AN AMENDMENT TO CERTAIN SECTIONS OF ORDINANCE A-3215 AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY

This Ordinance amends Ordinance A-3215 by removing an assessment found to be made in error for 414 East Court Street and declares an emergency so that the property owner is not assessed penalties under Ohio Revised Code.
