The City of Sidney’s Tree Board will be giving away approximately 40 trees. The lottery trees are limited to being planted in the public right-of-way. Only owners of property located within the corporation limits will be eligible to participate. In addition, tree lawns within the right-of-way must be 3 feet or larger.
Residents interested in submitting a tree lottery entry can visit www.sidneyoh.com/treelottery and complete the online form. Residents can also download, complete and return the entry form before midnight, July 31, or pick up an entry form from the City Service Center (415 South Vandemark Road) during regular business hours.
Selected winners will have a site survey completed by the City’s Arborist to make sure eligibility requirements are met. Tree selection will be determined by the site survey and will be planted by the City of Sidney.
Deadline to enter is July 31, 2022. Winners will be drawn August 5, 2022.
