[ARCHIVED] Monthly Winter Yard Waste Collection for February

Branches and other yard waste set curbside for collection

Weekly collection of yard waste by Republic Services ended on December 1, 2023. Weekly pickup of yard waste will not resume until May 1, 2024.

For December through April, the collection of yard waste will be done monthly by City of Sidney crews. This collection service begins the second full week of December and continues the second week of each month through the second full week of April. Monthly collection for February will begin February 12, 2024

From December through April, residents with yard waste should bundle brush, no more than 4 feet long and 2 inches in diameter, into manageable bundles with rope or twine (no wire) not to exceed 60 pounds.

Residents on the trash cart collection service are not required to purchase yard waste tags. Those residents on the low-volume bag service must purchase yard waste collection tags. Yard waste tags can be purchased for $1.97 each (in sets of 5) at the Revenue Collections Office in City Hall.

During monthly collection, all yard waste should be out for pick up on your normal trash pick-up day during the second week of each month. The actual pick-up day may be later in the week as it may take more than one week to complete the collection depending on volume and weather conditions.
