The Annual Neighborhood Beautification Award serves as a symbol of recognition for residents and property owners who have gone above and beyond to enhance the aesthetics of their properties.
But these efforts extend far beyond appearances. Property upkeep and beautification play a vital role in building a stronger, safer, and more connected community. Maintaining attractive properties increases curb appeal and property values, fosters pride and ownership, promotes neighborhood safety, inspires others to make improvements, and reflects a strong community identity that welcomes visitors and new residents alike.
On September 10, 2025, the Citizen Peer Review Committee convened to review all nominations for this year’s award. After thoughtful consideration, three properties were recognized for their outstanding contributions to neighborhood beautification:
2025 Neighborhood Beautification Award Winner – Ezechial Properties LLC, for the exemplary enhancements completed at 724 Riverside Drive
Honorable Mention – Geoffrey & Tina Smitman, for improvements made at 201 Lunar Street
Honorable Mention – Robert & Kelly Carter, for improvements made at 2769 W. Millcreek Road
The work done by this year’s honorees reaches far beyond their own property lines. Their dedication is a shining example of what it means to take pride in Sidney, and it inspires all of us to care for our homes, neighborhoods, and community.
