Dynegy, the company selected as the city’s aggregation supplier of choice, has sent opt-out letters to newly eligible residents who have not previously opted-out of the city’s electric aggregation program. This is part of the periodic “refreshes” on the eligible customer list. Residents receiving the letters are either new move-ins to the community, moved to a new home, or had a contract of their own that ended, making them eligible for the city’s program.
Residents presently enrolled in the city’s electric aggregation program did not receive this letter.
These periodic refreshes are typically done quarterly to ensure everyone is getting the opportunity to participate in the aggregation program should they so desire. This will be the last list refresh on the current contract, as the current contract expires later this year.
Affordable Gas + Electric, LLC, the aggregation consultant selected by the city, will work with suppliers later this summer/fall to secure a new electric aggregation contract. The present contract expires in December 2021. Once the new supplier is selected opt-out notices will be required to be sent to all eligible residents.
