The City of Sidney was recently presented with the Miami Valley Risk Management Association’s (MVRMA) prestigious Standard of Excellence Award for 2020. The award was presented to Finance Officer Ginger Adams during the MVRMA Board meeting held on June 21, 2021.
Standard of Excellence Awards are presented to MVRMA member communities with incurred insurance losses of less than $100 per full-time employee. Based upon losses as of February 15, 2021, Sidney’s loss per employee was $79.13. MVRMA Executive Director Tom Judy shared, “These awards are a good way to raise awareness about risk management.”
Of the 21 MVRMA communities, seven earned the Standard of Excellence Award for 2020. This is the first time Sidney has received this award.
"This award goes to all of our employees for their dedication to risk management while performing their jobs. We are proud of the way all of our employees keep safety at the forefront as they go about their daily work," shared City Manager Mark Cundiff.
