[ARCHIVED] Coffee With a Cop Event Planned

Sidney Police 1820

Sidney Police Chief Will Balling, Shelby County Sheriff Jim Frye and Ohio State Patrol Lieutenant Joseph Gebhart will be hosting a Coffee With a Cop session on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Sidney-Shelby County Senior Center. The Senior Center is located at 304 South West Avenue in Sidney.

Coffee with a Cop grows each year in terms of importance, reach, impact, popularity, and more. From the small start with one police department in 2011 to the thousands participating now, the changes being made are significant, and the numbers are as great of a conversation starter as being handed a cup of coffee at an event.

Similar events have been held by Sidney Police Department dating back to 2015.

All community members are encouraged to attend the event to get to better understand local law enforcement.

The mission of Coffee With a Cop is to break down the barriers between law enforcement officers and the citizens they serve by removing agendas and allowing opportunities to ask questions, voice concerns, and get to know local law enforcement officers.
