Winter Yard Waste Collection

Branches and other yard waste set curbside for collection

While fall signals the beginning of leaf collection, it also marks the changeover in the collection of yard waste. Weekly collection of yard waste by Republic Services ends November 30. Weekly pickup of yard waste will not resume until May 1, 2023.

For December through April, the collection of yard waste will be done monthly by City of Sidney crews. This collection service begins the second full week of December and continues the second week of each month through the second full week of April. Monthly collection is scheduled to begin December 12.

During monthly collection, all yard waste should be out for pick up on your normal trash pick-up day during the second week of each month. The actual pick-up day may be later in the week as it may take more than one week to complete the collection depending on volume and weather conditions.
