At 1:47 p.m. on February 13, 2025, the Sidney Department of Fire & Emergency Services responded to a call regarding fire activity at 416 Summit Street in Sidney.
Upon arrival, the Sidney Police Department assisted the occupant out of the structure safely. Fire crews extinguished the fire from outside and entered to ensure the structure was secured.

A box alarm was activated to request additional support, and units from Perry Port Salem EMS, Anna Fire Department, Lockington Fire Department, and the Sidney Police Department also responded to the incident. The cause of the fire has yet to be established.
