The City Tree Board was created by the City Council in April 1989 to develop, annually update, and administer a written plan for the following care of trees and shrubs in parks, along streets, and in other public areas.

From December through April the collection of yard waste will be done monthly by City of Sidney crews. This collection service begins the second full week of December and continues the second full week of each month through the second full week of April. During monthly collection, all yard waste should be out for pick up on your normal trash pick-up day during the second full week of each month. The actual pick-up day may be later in the week as it may take more than one day to complete the collection depending on volume and weather conditions.
